We have a PDH event, an opportunity to give back / help out Middle School math students, and a social event celebrating engineering and outstanding members of our engineering community.

MATHCOUNTS Competition. www.mathcounts.org

The Westchester / Putnam Chapter is pleased to announce the annual MATHCOUNTS competition. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Pace University in Pleasantville. The competition will run from about 8:00AM to 2:00PM.
Do you want to volunteer some time? We need for three or four more proctors to monitor the classrooms during the competition. The event is a fun few hours, especially the team and individual competitions.
We are also looking for food sponsors to help offset the cost of the food provided by Pace. CMX has generously donated $600. We still need more donations. Our goal is $1,600. If you can’t volunteer, perhaps you can donate?

ENGINEERS WEEK CELEBRATION

Finally, Engineers Week is coming. The Chapter will celebrate engineers with a dinner party on Saturday February 23 from 6:30 to 10:00 PM at Unique Affairs at Mansion Hill in Briarcliff, NY. Join your colleagues and guests as we recognize engineers throughout Westchester and Putnam with awards for project of the year, engineer of the year, young engineer and more. Pencil the date now and watch your mail for the invitation.
